6 Step Weed Control Program

Step 1: Early Spring

Prevents Weeds Before They Start

Slow-release granular fertilizer is used to feed the lawn alongside a pre-emergent weed control that prevents crabgrass and other grassy weeds from sprouting.

Step 2: Spring

Kill Weeds and Feed Grass

A broadleaf weed control is applied to kill dandelions, clovers, chickweed, and other common weeds. This step also includes a slow-release fertilizer to promote steady growth.

Step 3: Late Spring

Strengthen & Green Up

An organic slow-release fertilizer with iron is used to enhance the lawn’s color and strength.

If grub control is chosen, it will be applied at this visit.

Step 4: Summer

Keep It Green & Healthy

A slow-release micronutrient fertilizer with iron is applied to promote continued vibrant green color in mid summer. Treatment for any summer weeds present.

Step 5: Fall

Kills Weeds Before Winter

A fall broadleaf weed control with fertilizer is used to attack weeds before they survive winter. This is the most important treatment for broadleaf weeds.

Step 6: Late Fall

Prepare for Next Year

Granular fertilizer is used during the final fertilization to store nutrients in the roots over winter.

Fungicide Application
Fungicides are applied to prevent and reduce the spread of infections that can lead to significant deterioration in plant quality. This proactive approach not only protects turfgrass but also enhances overall aesthetics and longevity in your lawn.
