Aeration & Overseeding for Healthier, Thicker Lawns in St. Louis

Aeration & Overseeding

Aeration and overseeding help restore lawn health by relieving soil compaction and encouraging new grass growth. Core aeration opens the soil so water, oxygen, and nutrients can reach the root zone more effectively, while overseeding improves turf density and fills in thin or bare areas.

Aeration

We use mechanical core aeration equipment that removes removes small plugs of soil from the lawn to relieve compaction and allow air, water, and nutrients to reach the root zone more effectively.

Multiple passes are performed—typically 8 to 12 passes depending on lawn conditions—to ensure strong soil penetration and thorough coverage.

Overseeding

After aeration, quality seed is applied evenly across the lawn to promote new germination, improve density, and help strengthen thin or weakened turf areas. Overseeding is especially beneficial for lawns affected by heat stress, thinning, or heavy traffic.
